#28252 closed Bug (fixed)

Translation documentation on default file extensions differ from makemessages --help output

Description

The translation documentation (https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.11/topics/i18n/translation/) says:

"By default django-admin makemessages examines every file that has the .html or .txt file extension."

But running makemessages --help says:

'The file extension(s) to examine (default: "html, txt,py", or "js" if the domain is "djangojs").'

The documentation might need to be updated to clarify this.
