Error while installing Django.

hello people.
I'm trying to install Django-0.96 on Windows Xp.
I downloaded the tar file, extracted it and run this commands:
C:\>cd c:\django-0.96 C:\Django-0.96>setup.py install running install running build running build_py error: package directory '\django' does not exist C:\Django-0.96>
Obviously, the folder 'C:\Django-0.96\django' exist, so I don't know what's the problem.
I really need your help, deadline is close ;)

For support help, it is best to ask on the django-users mailing list (for a quick fix, grab setup.py and MANIFEST.in from subversion and use that instead of the versions in the 0.96 tarball).
