Yes. Technically s/\.readthedocs\.org/\.readthedocs\.io/ to avoid false positives ;-) but it's just a matter of making that change and committing it. I'm not sure how far back we should make changes; I guess 1.8?

I'm not backporting to 1.8 for now because there are a lot of conflicts and the redirect "will remain in place for the foreseeable future". Besides find/replace, I also fixed some broken links and updated a few remaining http links to https.
