Description
It has come to my attention as a previous translator that the Swedish translations are really bad in certain places. In particular this string:
- "Säkerställ att detta värde åtminstone har 5 tecken (den har 4)." ≈ "Ascertain that this value at least has 5 symbols (it has 4)."
It sounds archaic, and has grammatical errors. Somebody ought to do something about it.
It would be good if there was some kind of general consensus among the translators on how to do the translations.

Just to add that you can find some more information in our documentation as well: https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.6/internals/contributing/localizing/#translations
If you'd like to discuss it more at length, the django-i18n
mailing list is the place you want.
Thanks.
The translations are managed through transifex - https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/django/
You're welcome (and encouraged!) to contribute improvements to the translations there. I'm afraid I personally don't know much about who has done the Swedish translations (or how long ago).
I'm closing this as invalid as any changes need to be made on transifex.
