Description
We've had dozens of tickets filed by people confused by the difference between the dev docs and the 1.4 code.
Pointing developers to the 1.3 release notes isn't nice — especially if they started with Django 1.5.
Given that the default behavior will change in Django 1.5, and given the extremely high impact, I'd like to make an exception and document this change again in the 1.5 release notes — maybe in the introduction paragraph.
