Description (last modified by )
There are a couple of tickets marked with the 'easy-pickings' keyword; this is something that should be mentioned in the "How to contribute" docs as something that triagers should do (assuming the ticket submitter hasn't already) if they suspect the issue is a relatively simple problem that could be tackled by a newcomer.

Thanks @cmheisel: I think there's actually one more bit needed here, which is the other side of the equation: that triagers should be keeping a lookout for issues that they think are small, and adding the tag when appropriate.

I think adding a new report with this kind of tickets to the "Reports" tab in Trac would also be nice.

I may just be totally stupid, but I can't seem to find a way to edit the [Reports] page in the wiki
comment:9 by , 14 years ago
Also we should edit the homepage to include a link to that report here: http://code.djangoproject.com/wiki#Gettinginvolved
comment:10 by , 14 years ago
@cmheisel: those wiki pages are locked to prevent vandalism and can only be edited by Trac admins. I've added the links to the reports.
