Version 34 (modified by Mariusz Felisiak, 8 weeks ago) ( diff )

Clarified dropping support for PostGIS 3.1 and 3.2.

End of life dates for supported database versions

SQLite

The SQLite version that ships with the Windows and OS X installers are:

  • Python 3.5 - 3.8.11
  • Python 3.6 - 3.14.2
  • Python 3.7 - 3.21.0
  • Python 3.8 - 3.28.0
  • Python 3.9 - 3.34.0
  • Python 3.10 - 3.35.4

Generally, the minimum supported SQlite version is the one that's shipped with the oldest supported Python version. For example, Django 2.1 supports Python 3.5 and later, so the minimum supported SQLite version is 3.8.11.

Search the Python Changelog for "SQLite" to find entries like "Update Windows build and OS X installers to use SQLite 3.14.2."
