    1 Thanks to you Felix, I now know that EmailField is deliberately broken and untrustable.
     1Actually, I couldn't confirm that emails must not start with an hyphen, so this issue is invalid.

     3I think the solution is to have an email validator that will actually open a connection to the smtp server and call smtp vrfy command.
