Double quote includes double quote. I think it is ambiguous.
How about using single quote?
<img src="{% static 'my_app/myexample.jpg' %}" alt="My image"/>
A line 346 of https://github.com/django/django/blob/master/docs/ref/contrib/staticfiles.txt has the same problem.
